Visit Lake Gregory for summer trout fishing
Description - Located in a natural alpine setting of the San Bernardino Mountains is Lake Gregory Regional Park. The park features a picturesque 86-acre lake offering excellent trout, catfish, and bass fishing.

Attractions - Lake Gregory Regional Park is an alpine jewel nestled in the pine forests of Crestline, California. Here you can fish from the shore all year, picnic, hike, swim, and boat on 150 acres in the San Bernardino Mountains.

During the summer months, the park is open for swimming in the cool mountain water. White sandy beaches await avid sunbathers along with a two-flume, 300' waterslide. Two sand volleyball courts are available for family fun or tournament games. Rowboats, aqua cycles and paddleboards are available for rent for a leisurely ride around the lake. Snack bars are located on the north and south beaches. A boathouse offers fishing supplies and boat rentals.

For the sailing enthusiast, sailboats and sailboards are available for rent during the summer months.

Picnic facilities are equipped with barbecue grills, tables and a large shade structure on the south side of the lake. Located on the southwest edge of Lake Gregory is the San Mortiz Lodge. The Lodge is an ideal place to hold meetings, seminars, weddings, and receptions. There are picnic tables and barbecue grills available in the picnic area.

The Lake Gregory Fitness Trail is a 2-mile loop around the park featuring exercise stations (Para Course). The trail is composed of a natural surface 3-8' in width.

Special events include July 4th fireworks display. Concessions can be found at the snack bar, senior center, ball fields, and sailboats.

Recreation - Swimming, sailing, water activities, picnicking, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, and enjoying special events attract visitors to Lake Gregory Regional Park.

Climate - A warm, dry Mediterranean climate prevails over Southern California - inland it is generally hot in the summer and mild in the winter. During the summer, valley temperatures can soar above 100 degrees while remaining pleasant in the mountains. Most of the precipitation comes as rain during the winter months. During the winter months higher elevations experience snow and freezing temperatures.

Location - Lake Gregory Regional Park is located north of San Bernardino off Routes 30 and 18.
