- This two acre park is a day use facility built around a memorial to General Sam Dale, a 19th century frontiersman and patriot. The focal point is a base-relief statue of Dale by the late Harry D. Reeks of Ocean Springs. Visitors will find four picnic shelters.
Recreation - Recreational activities include viewing the memorial and picnicking. Camping facilities are not available.
Climate - Mississippi generally has a temperate climate, with cool winters and warm, humid summers. Freezing temperatures are possible in the winter. Thunderstorms and are possible throughout the year but most common in the spring and summer. Tropical storms occasionally strike the coast during the hurricane season.
The park is located 15 miles north of Meridian off Mississippi Hwy. 39 in the town of Daleville.
