Beaver Creek Mountain under an early blanket of snow
|
Beaver Creek is an intimate resort in a gorgeous secluded setting. The conditions are upscale, uncrowded and offer a unique village-to-village design. Beaver Creek has six high speed quad chair lifts and 1,625 acres of prime skiing terrain. Cruising runs for beginners and intermediates is easy to find as well as the expert terrain the notorious Grouse Mountain and Birds of Prey runs. Vail is located only 12 miles east of Beaver Creek, for those who choose to sample both resorts. Lift tickets are interchangeable between the resorts. Beaver Creek is among a few resorts in North America with a dedicated snowshoe and cross-country ski park atop its mountain rather than at the base. McCoy Park offers more than 32 kilometers of beginner, intermediate and advanced groomed track and rustic trails. Beaver Creek is a premier choice for those who value a relaxed atmosphere, intimate charm and luxurious comfort. Since the completion of the core village two seasons ago, Beaver Creek has become a hotbed for a number of high-end art galleries and shops. The Vilar Center for the Arts hosts world-class performing arts in the heart of the Village, offering music, drama, dance, film and children's entertainment. An outdoor ice skating rink provides the focal point of the Village. For more information call Beaver Creek Ski Area at 970-845-9090 or toll free 800-404-3535.
